She graduated from Seattle University, where she majored in accounting and earned a B.A. in Business Administration. In 1994, she was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant by the Washington State Board of Accountancy, and received her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Seattle University School of Law in 1997. She then attended the University of Washington School of Law, obtaining a Masters of Law (LL.M) in Federal Taxation in 1999. Cynthia is also a member of WealthCounsel, a national organization of estate planning attorneys and other professionals in related disciplines.
Before joining Gregorek and Associates, PLLC Cynthia gained practical, real-world experience in a number of ways. She began her career as an accountant for a multi-family real estate developer and builder; was part of the Founders Team for a Commercial Construction Company, a Real Estate Brokerage company, and a Financial Services Company; worked in the Tax Department of two International Accounting Firms, KPMG and PriceWaterhouseCoopers; was an Associate Attorney for a local Tax Controversy and Tax Planning firm; and operated as a sole practioner for several years.
Cynthia is a past President of the American Association of Attorney Certified Public Accountants for the year 2006-2007 (she is the first female President in the AAA-CPAâ??s history). Founded in 1964, the AAA-CPA is the only association in the nation whose members are comprised of professionals dually qualified as both attorneys and certified public accountants. This proves particularly beneficial for her clients with a business or real property in more than one state.
Cynthia is a lifelong resident of the Puget Sound area, a third generation Pacific Northwest native, and comes from a family of entrepreneurs. She serves on the Board of Directors for a local Charitable Foundation. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors of several for-profit corporations.
